About the role

As an Examiner, you will play an important role in maintaining the integrity of Tasmania's land registration system through the examination and registration of instruments and documents lodged under a range of land and property legislation. You will prepare and draft folios of the Register, issue requests for correction or further information, prepare final notices, and liaise with lodging parties to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.

The role also includes providing technical information and assistance to members of the public through a customer service counter, making strong communication and customer service skills essential.

This is a fixed-term casual office-based opportunity for 12 months, with hours worked as and when required.

Our ideal candidate has

• Knowledge of Land Titles Office practices and procedures, or experience working within a legal or regulatory framework.
• High-level communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Sound judgement in applying policies, rules and regulations to resolve operational issues. 
• Ability to maintain focus and accuracy when completing methodical, detail-oriented transactions.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
