The Team
The Community Nursing team at Beaconsfield District health Service is part of a rural, multidisciplinary health service committed to delivering high-quality, person centred care that enables people to remain healthy, independent and living safely in their own homes. The team provides assessment, treatment, education and ongoing clinical management for people across the Beaconsfield and surrounding West Tamar communities. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role
The Community Registered Nurse provides comprehensive, person centred care to clients within the community, supporting individuals to maintain their health, independence and wellbeing. Working closely within a multiciliary team, the role delivers evidence based clinical care, promotes health and well being and contributes to integrated, coordinated services across the continuum of care.
You will need:
- Well developed assessment, communication and clinical decision making skills, with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- A commitment to person-centred care, continuous quality improvement and the ability to build positive relationships with clients, carers and the local community within a health care setting.
- Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia(NMBA)as a Registered Nurse with demonstrated clinical experience in community nursing, chronic disease management, wound care and palliative care experience

Details of appointment
- Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working up to 28 hours per fortnight, commencing 13 September 2026.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
$80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
Salary Packaging
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

- Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%
