Join our dedicated cardiac care team as a Nurse Practitioner and make a real difference in patients' lives. This permanent, full-time position offers the chance to work alongside skilled healthcare professionals in our North-based hospital, providing expert cardiac care to our community.

In this role, you'll use your advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiac conditions. You'll work autonomously while being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conduct comprehensive cardiac assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions in hospital settings
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and nursing staff
  • Provide patient and family education on cardiac health management
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research
  • Mentor and support junior nursing staff

What We're Looking For

  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA
  • Master's degree in Advanced Practice Nursing or equivalent
  • Substantial experience in cardiac or critical care nursing
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning

Details of appointment:

  • Multiple Permanent, full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as you can join us. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $148,470 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
