The Team
Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania’s largest hospital. The Critical Care, Clinical Services and Investigations (CCCSI) stream plays a core role in supporting the clinical units within the hospital through Emergency Care, Diagnostic Imaging and Critical Care Medicine. All our services work closely together to deliver excellence in healthcare and achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role
The Executive Officer will
- Perform high level executive and administrative duties to support the preparation of correspondence, reports and other business documents.
- Set up and maintain databases, extract, compile and verify statistics, and generate reports and other information relating to the overall business-related performance of the Clinical Stream.
- Collate and coordinate background notes, briefings and other information for the Clinical Stream management team.
You will need to
- Ensure the efficient handling and flow of information and correspondence by providing high level administrative and clerical support, including general oversight of the Clinical Stream administrative activities.
- Assist in the day-to-day problem solving and allocation of administrative resources to meet the Clinical Stream’s operational requirements.
- Provide operational support to administrative staff within the Clinical Stream, including leave scheduling, procedures training and staff orientation.

Details of appointment
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
$76,849 to $82,996 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025
