The Team
As part of a multidisciplinary team, deliver high quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Services Principles, National Metal Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies. As a Clinical Lead, you will provide high level support to the Team Leader within the relevant community mental health service, in the provision of:
- Leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary community mental health team.
- Effective management of specified human and physical resources.
- Leadership, direction and change management to facilitate the progression of the current Mental Health Service Strategic Plan through the implementation of the associated model of care, and relevant service policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Optimal clinical processes and individual client outcomes.
- Enhanced consumer and carer participation at all levels of the service.
The Role
- Actively contribute to the clinical leadership and management of a designated multidisciplinary CAMHS program Team to ensure the provision of a high quality, comprehensive, specialist mental health service to a designated population group within the state.
- Provide clinical expertise and advice to the program Team Leader and relevant senior staff to optimise service operations and strategic development.
- Support the Team Leader by assuming a lead role in the oversight of designated clinical processes associated with the optimal operation of the Team, including rostering, crisis response, emergency department presentations, review and discharge, assertive follow up, and general team coordination.
You will need
- Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to manage and coordinate the clinical activities of a multidisciplinary mental health service with the ability to assist the Team Leader in relation to the effective management of human and physical resources, which also includes the provision of supervision and support to other staff as required.
- A comprehensive knowledge of contemporary approaches to child/adolescent and/or youth mental health services, together with extensive experience working as a senior health professional in relevant clinical practice settings.
- Proven ability to actively and effectively contribute to quality improvement and safety processes at the individual service level.

Details of appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
$131,122 to $138,984 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2025.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

- Please note that access to salaries beyond $138,984 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Satisfactory completion of an appropriate allied health professional course of study at a recognised tertiary institution and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.
- Current Working with Children Registration
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- A minimum of 3 years current post graduate experience in child, adolescent and/or youth mental health or relevant field.
- Training in relevant and appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are developmentally appropriate such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Current Driver’s Licence
