The Team
- The RHH is the tertiary referral centre for Tasmania, we have around 2000 births each year.

- Looking for a dynamic Midwife who will assist in leading the MGP team
The Role
- Works in partnership with the Maternity Unit Manager (MUM) to lead the efficient and effective provision of maternity care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework

Provide day-to-day clinical and operational leadership of the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP), coordinating team activities to support continuity, quality and safety of midwifery-led care.

Provide expert clinical midwifery advice and leadership, contributing to quality improvement, professional development, risk and safety processes, and monitoring of the MGP Caseload Annualised Salary Agreement.
You will need
-
Current registration as a Midwife with the relevant Australian regulatory authority, with demonstrated contemporary clinical midwifery knowledge and experience in midwifery-led/MGP care.

Demonstrated leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate a team, manage competing priorities and work effectively across multidisciplinary hospital and community services.

Demonstrated commitment to quality and safety, professional development, evidence-based practice and service improvement, with the ability to exercise initiative and sound clinical judgement.

Details of appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
