The Team

You will work as an Allied Health Assistant with the North West Speech Pathology team across our 3 sites; Mersey Community hospital, Devonport Community & Health Services Centre and North West Regional Hospital.

The Role

You will work with adult inpatient and rehabilitation patients and preschool aged children to delivery therapy programs under the direction of the Speech Pathologist. Additionally, you will be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks to assist the Manager and the team in delivering the Speech Pathology services.

You will need

  • to be able to develop good rapport with patients and their families
  • good computer skills
  • good time management and organisational skills

Details of appointment

Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing 29 September 2026 until 1 April 2027.

*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

$70,033 to $75,114 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Current Working with Children Registration – NDIS (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent qualification or a commitment to attain this qualification OR Tertiary student of a relevant and approved AHP program of study at a recognised tertiary institution
  • Current Driver’s Licence
