The Team
Join the Older Persons Mental Health Service (OPMHS), a dynamic, community-based team located in beautiful Hobart, Tasmania. Our multidisciplinary team delivers compassionate, person-centred mental health care through both in-community and outreach services. We work closely with individuals, their families, and both formal and informal support networks to help older people live their best lives.
The Role
- Provide high level quality administrative and reception support to OPMHS, including undertaking special projects at the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) - OPMHS.
- Undertake the coordination and supervision of administrative staff, including undertaking leave management, training of staff in new processes, the orientation of new or casual administrative staff and the ongoing support of existing administrative staff.
- Manage and coordinate administrative support systems for the efficient and effective operation of OPMHS.
You will need
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in contemporary office management practices including knowledge of medical terminology, or the ability to quickly acquire, and well developed computer skills and sound organisational skills.
- Ability to assist with the training and guidance of less experienced administrative staff, and the orientation of new employees including delegating administrative duties to ensure the development of team members.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment, including the ability to: cooperate and work well with other team members both in the administrative and clinical areas; respect the needs and ideas of others; provide support and assistance to team members; resolve conflicts; and appropriately share information with team members.

Details of appointment
Permanent part time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight,

Salary
$76,849 to $82,996 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025.
