The Team:
The Tasmanian Health Service is a fully integrated system that delivers a range of services. These are divided into three key regions across Tasmania: North, North West and South.
THS services range from public health and preventative services to primary health and community care. This also includes emergency health services, specialist services and hospital-based treatment in public and private hospitals, residential, rehabilitation and palliative care.
Care is delivered across acute, subacute and community and primary health settings with most healthcare delivered outside of the hospitals in GP rooms, community health centres, private clinics, aged and residential care facilities, and in the home.
The THS has over 300 facilities across Tasmania that provide high quality, accredited services, with exceptionally skilled staff, that are closely integrated with their local communities and the other parts of the health system.
The Role:
Function effectively as a Home Care Support Worker under the Tasmanian Home and Community Care (HACC) guidelines, and the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) guidelines.
Provide support and care to Home Care South clients in their own homes.
You will need to:

Provide essential household duties as assessed and documented in client care plans. These duties can
include but are not limited to general cleaning, vacuuming, washing and ironing.
- Provide feedback to the Manager of Home Care South concerning significant changes in client health or circumstances.
- Maintain accurate work records and complete documentation as required.

Maintain effective communication with clients, home care personnel and other service providers as
required.
- Promoting a positive image of the service to the public, including the displaying of approved means of identification, and wearing a well-maintained supplied uniform.
- Promoting wellness and reablement within Home Care South’s service delivery.

Details of appointment:
Multiple fixed term, casual, positions working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary:
$59,930 to $62,486 pro rata per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Plus 25% Casual loading - Equivalent of $36.00 to $39.37
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
