This newly created position works across the Tasmania Prison Service (TPS) to develop and apply strategies to recover historical leave, overpayments and reconciliation, whilst providing support and advisory services to internal and external stakeholders. Fixed-term, full time for 12 months.

Working Environment
Tasmania Prison Service (TPS) has prison facilities located at Risdon Vale, Hobart and Launceston in Tasmania. This position is based at Risdon Vale. The Risdon Vale site offers a corporate working environment without the hustle and bustle of city centre offices, free on-site parking and access to the on-site staff gym (or head across the road to Risdon Brook Dam for a walk at lunch time).

Duties
- Investigate and analyse historical staff absence information, provide high level reporting relating to leave recovery and reconciliation at the TPS.
- Review and implement policies and procedures relating to overpayments and recovery.
- Undertake the case management of historical complex employee absence related matters within the legislative and employee policy framework and liaise with employees and their representatives.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, formal responses and recommendations as appropriate.
- Build and manage effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, consultative committees and unions and work collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Other duties as directed that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying jobs at this classification level.
