The Role:
Launceston General Hospital invites applicants to apply to currently available multiple positions of Surgical registrars.
The Team:
- Broad exposure to General Surgery including operating, emergencies and clinic.
- Rotation through three speciality teams - Breast/Endocrine, Colorectal and Upper GI/Hepatobiliary.
- Close contact with consultant staff.
- Limited evenings and weekend on call.
- The role is well supported clinically with additional teaching and research opportunities.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term full time, day worker, with on call working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 10 March 2025 until 1 February 2026
You will receive 10 hours of paid, protected training time per fortnight, pro rata.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time and casual vacancies.
Salary:
Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11 $134,930 - $189,005 per annum, pro rata + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022
In addition, the following allowances and benefit, calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available
- Salary packaging options include a range of benefits like living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meals and entertainment every year
