The Team:
At King Island hospital and Community Health Centre (KIH&CHC) we put the person at the centre of patient and resident care. The Enrolled Nurse position has a large focus on Netherby Home, our aged care facility, and enabling the best life for the residents who live here.
The Role:
- Assessment and care planning under the guidance of registered staff
- Medication management
- To be actively involved in quality improvement activities to better health and life outcomes for patients and residents.

Details of appointment:
Multiple permanent full time and part time, shift worker (fully rotational) positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 31 March 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $70,980 to $78,179 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Regional Allowances
- District Allowances of up to $4,618 per annum for a family
- Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of $3,699 per annum and an additional salary allowance of 10%
Benefits available to eligible candidates:
- Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.

- A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support.

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse
