Job description:

Seeking a Clinical Lead Dietician to provide leadership in the provision of dietetic services enabling the delivery of high quality patient care.

The Role

  • Provide leadership in the provision of dietetic services enabling the delivery of high quality patient care
  • Develop and promote effective partnerships within the Department of Health, and with external community service providers for liaison, education and support for complex and high-risk patients
  • Coordinate efficient and effective dietetic services to enable provision of service across the continuum of care
  • Contribute to the evaluation and development of the service at unit and organisational level

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time, day worker position, working up to 38 hours per fortnight, from as soon as we can onboard you.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $120,114 to $130,181 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Allowances: 

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $126,845 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Tertiary qualifications/program of study accredited by the Dietitians Australia or overseas qualified dietitians will be required to complete Dietetic Skill Recognition (DSR) through Dietitians Australia

  • Eligible for full membership with the Dietitians Australia

  • Eligible to join the Accredited Practising Dietitian Program

Or where regulatory requirements exist, NDIS Q&S Commission Provider Registration Requirements

  • Full membership of Dietitian Australia

Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
