Job description:

The Allied Health Assistant (Occupational Therapy) works under the general direction from the Occupational Therapy Manager with respect to policy and procedural matters and under the general supervision from allied health professional staff and therapists with respect to day to day duties.

The Team:

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic person to come and join our team. Our team consists of a multidisciplinary team of 21 members consisting of the Manager, Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead therapists, Senior and Junior Occupational Therapists and other ancillary staff.

The Role:

The Allied Health Assistant (Occupational Therapy) works under the general direction from the Occupational Therapy Manager with respect to policy and procedural matters and under the general supervision from allied health professional staff and therapists with respect to day to day duties.  

Undertake tasks, under the supervision and delegation of allied health professionals, including planning for and implementation of treatment programs for clients, managing client enquiries, engaging in basic administration roles such as stock ordering.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 1 December 2025. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $67,193 to $72,126 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Certificate IV in Health Service Assistance (Allied Health Assistance) or equivalent qualification

  • Tertiary student of a relevant and approved allied health course of study at a recognised tertiary institution

  • Current Driver's Licence
