The Team:
This team provides essential mental health services and includes ACT (Acute Community Treatment), HITH (Hospital in the Home - a virtual ward) and PACER (a tri-agency response from Mental Health Services, Ambulance Tas and Tasmanian Police. These services are part of Tasmania's Hospital Avoidance strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to lead these services into the future.
The Role:
This role provides management and leadership to three teams consisting of multi-disciplinary teams. The role exists within a collegial and supportive management team. Please note that this is a dual classified role and is concurrently advertised with Manager - Acute Care Stream - Community Mental Health and only one position will be filled.
You will need:
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary evidence based mental health service provision and extensive post-graduate clinical service delivery experience in the context of a multidisciplinary mental health team.
- Significant management experience in a community mental health setting and the capacity to provide leadership and vision to instil the principles and goals of Tasmanian Mental Health Reform Program and key documents specific to the Acute Care Stream.
- An understanding of, and capacity to implement, change management processes and strategies to assist in the transition to and the ongoing operation of the model of care specified in the Acute Care Stream Operational Service Model and related documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage human, financial and physical resources, and the ability to develop and implement strategies that monitor service quality, effectiveness and efficiency and are consistent with service standards and key performance indicators.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $143,677 to $145,595 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association
