Job description:

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Advisor - Patient Safety Culture who will work in close partnership with all clinical and support streams across Hospitals South to provide high level project management and program functions related to Patient Safety Culture, including planning, coordination and monitoring activities supporting the delivery of improvement priorities and evaluation of outcomes. The role will support the successful integration, change management and continuous improvement activities for the Patient Safety Culture within Hospitals South.

The role:

The Senior Advisor - Patient Safety Culture works in close partnership with all clinical and support streams across Hospitals South to:

  • Provide high level project management and program functions related to Patient Safety Culture, including planning, coordination and monitoring activities supporting the delivery of improvement priorities and evaluation of outcomes.

  • The role will support the successful integration, change management and continuous improvement activities for the Patient Safety Culture within Hospitals South.

The Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Team:

  • Hospitals South continues to invest in building an effective safety culture, including the organization’s and employee's approach to safety; identifying, mitigating and controlling risks; and engagement in activities that represent (and reinforce) a safety culture.

  • The Quality & Patient Safety Service (QPSS) South supports and strengthens the safety culture within Hospitals South by providing expertise and support to service groups and facilities.
  • The Senior Advisor - Patient Safety Culture role is critical to QPSS and Hospitals South, and will support the further development of Hospital South's safety culture.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, part time, day worker position working 60.8 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as we can welcome you onboard.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $104, 756 to $118,730 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
