To provide specialist policy and strategic advice to the Deputy Secretary Corporate and Business Services and other key stakeholders, including at Head of Agency and Ministerial level, on emergency preparedness, emergency response and emergency capability development throughout the department and broader portfolio.
Provide leadership, direction and high level support to school leadership teams, teachers and Aboriginal Education staff in the interpretation and implementation of the department’s policies and guidelines. Provide advice, recommendations and support related to the development and implementation of national and state strategies and policies in Aboriginal education. Contribute to and lead the state wide discussion around culturally responsive practice in Tasmanian schools.
Provide clinical assessment, screening and support to individuals and groups and undertake early intervention activities and provide short term support for students in the school setting.
Participate in the development and implementation of health promotion activities in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Provide clinical assessment, screening and support to individuals and groups and undertake early detection activities and provide supported referrals for students in the primary school setting.
To implement and manage appropriate learning programs for students and to assess individual student progress. To assist the Principal in the general educational leadership, management and administration of a particular sector of a school or college.
