Permanent, full time - 73.5 hours per fortnight 

Duties

  • Oversee the processing and validation of payroll transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance with legislative and industrial requirements.
  • Interpret award conditions, enterprise agreements, and departmental policies, resolving queries and anomalies with authoritative expertise.
  • Act as a key liaison point between Payroll Services and internal/external stakeholders including leaders and external agencies.
  • Mentor and support payroll officers, contributing to staff capability through coaching, guidance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct payroll audits and implement internal controls to maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with audit and regulatory standards.
  • Support system upgrades and improvements by collaborating with IT and HR teams, contributing to testing, feedback, and change management initiatives.
