We are seeking new or recently graduated Physiotherapists to join a dynamic, supportive physiotherapy team working across acute, subacute, and community settings. Physiotherapy careers in the Tasmanian Health Service

The Role

Within the Southern Agency Framework, and in accordance with Department Policy and Procedures, the Physiotherapist will:

  • Provide physiotherapy assessments and interventions to patients referred to the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) Physiotherapy Services.
  • Participate in relevant quality improvement activities to ensure safe and effective delivery of patient care.
  • Patient care is provided collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team across relevant areas of the Agency as required.

You will need

  • Maintain accurate clinical and administrative activity data in accordance with Departmental requirements.
  • Attend and participate in family, ward and departmental meetings and in-services as required.
  • Liaise with other physiotherapists and members of the multi-disciplinary team regarding the ongoing care of patients.

Details of appointment

Fixed term full time, day worker (with on call) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of twelve months.

*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

$81,614 to $117,074 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025.

Salary Packaging 

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. 

Allowances

  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,529 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: 

  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Benefits available to eligible candidates 

  • Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
  • Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
