The Team
The Oral Health Services Team within the Department of Health Tasmania is dedicated to supporting the delivery of high-quality oral healthcare services to the community. Working closely with dentists, dental technicians, clinicians, and administrative staff, the team assists in the preparation, maintenance, and provision of dental appliances and laboratory services that contribute to effective patient care. Committed to quality, teamwork, and patient-focused service, the team plays an important role in ensuring efficient dental service delivery and positive oral health outcomes for Tasmanians.
The Role
Provide administrative, logistical and technical support to the Laboratory Manager and Senior Prosthetist for the delivery of efficient and high-quality dental laboratory services.
Work in a team environment to ensure the establishment and maintenance of quality clinical and customer services is provided to clients both internally and externally.
You will need
- Assist in the preparation of models including pouring of diagnostic and duplicate models, digital scanning, trimming and labelling models, and other components to ensure compliance with Patient Identification (PID) standards.
- Manage the decontamination of impressions by cleaning and maintaining the Hygojet equipment.
- Pour up impressions and articulation of models and transfer them to the dental technicians to ensure a continuous flow of work.

Details of appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
$70,033 to $75,114 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025.
