The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for 2027 Unaccredited Registrar – Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT).
The Royal Hobart Hospital is the tertiary referral hospital for Tasmania, and the principal teaching hospital for the University of Tasmania Medical School. The Hospital provides most specialist medical services for the region or state.
Salary
$138,978 - $194,675 per annum
Salary range is in accordance with the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025

Period of Employment
Fixed term, full time day work, working 76 hours per fortnight (+10 hours protected training time per fortnight, pro rata), commencing from 1 February 2027 until 7 February 2028 (24 months negotiable).
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time and casual vacancies.

Duties
- The Registrar is responsible for the day to day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients within the allocated site/facility. Provide after-hours emergency as required.
Desirable Requirements
- Demonstrated ENT experience at a Senior RMO or Registrar level
Essential Requirements
- Registration or eligible for Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).
