The Team
An opportunity exists within the Department of Health for a suitably qualified and experienced Creative Arts Worker to be part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality health and well-being services to young people aged 12-24. The Pulse Youth Health Service is part of the Department of Women's and Children's Services within Hospitals South and is a supportive and cohesive team that is motivated to deliver excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role
- Experience developing and facilitating creative music and arts-based projects, programs or activities for young people.
- The ability to engage effectively with diverse and vulnerable young people using trauma informed practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders and community partners.
- Knowledge of contemporary creative technologies and the ability to support and maintain creative resources and equipment.
- A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Details of appointment
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 45 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$102,027 to $106,985 pro rata per annum + our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Degree or diploma in Fine Art, Music, Performing Arts or equivalent industry experience.
- Current Driver’s licence
