The role
The Day Procedure Unit at Launceston General Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to support workforce development and clinical excellence. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating education programs that strengthen clinical capability, support evidence based practice and promote high quality patient care. Working collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager and multidisciplinary teams, the position contributes to professional development, quality improvement initiatives and a culture of continuous learning across the service.
The team
The Day Procedure Unit is a collaborative and highly skilled team dedicated to delivering safe, efficient and person centred care for patients undergoing a range of planned procedures. Staff work closely across disciplines to provide a seamless patient experience from admission through to discharge. The team is committed to clinical excellence, continuous improvement and evidence-based practice, while fostering a supportive environment that values learning, professional development and shared success.

Details of appointment
- Permanent
- Part time – 12 hours per fortnight

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$118,297 to $125,543 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
