Join our dedicated Cardiology Ward team as a Clinical Nurse Consultant and make a real difference in patients' lives. This permanent, full-time position offers the chance to work alongside skilled healthcare professionals in our North-based hospital, providing expert cardiac care to our community.

In this role, you'll use your advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiac conditions. You'll work autonomously while being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Coordinate care management across inpatient, outpatient, elective, emergency and interhospital transfers.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and nursing staff
  • Provide patient and family education on cardiac health management
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research
  • Mentor and support junior nursing staff.

Details of appointment:

  • Permanent full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join us.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary:

$118,297 to $125,543 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria 

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Holds a relevant post-graduate tertiary qualification in cardiology
