Do you have experience in social services or supporting people with disabilities? Are you looking for meaningful work that helps others? If so, we would love to hear from you at the Public Trustee. Join us in a role where respect, service and integrity guide everything we do.

As a Client Account Manager, you will work closely with clients, some of whom may be experiencing significant challenges related to their circumstances or disability. This may include people living with mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, age‑related conditions, or congenital or intellectual disabilities. At times, clients may be upset, distressed or displaying behaviours that reflect the difficulties they face. Approaching each interaction with respect, service and integrity will be essential in ensuring every person feels valued, supported and treated with dignity.

As a Client Account Manager, you will also encounter complex and emotive situations, including instances of customer aggression, as you provide services to community members who may be vulnerable or grieving. Your ability to respond with empathy, patience and professionalism will make a meaningful difference in helping customers navigate some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

We understand that this work can be emotionally demanding, and your wellbeing matters deeply to us. We encourage you to reflect on the personal resilience, self‑care practices and coping strategies that will help you thrive in this impactful and rewarding role. In keeping with our commitment to respect, service and integrity, we will support you through access to Professional Supervision, on‑site counselling services, our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and ongoing training and development. Our goal is to ensure you feel safe, supported and empowered as you deliver high‑quality service to our community.

We encourage applications from Indigenous Australians, people with disability, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, mature age workers and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTIQA+) people.

Public Trustee supports reasonable adjustment requests in any stage of the assessment process to remove barriers and facilitate full participation in all aspects of employment for applicants with disability. If you have individual requirements that need to be accommodated to participate in an interview or recruitment activity, you can include this information with your application.

We are a diverse and inclusive workplace and understand the importance of flexible working arrangements. Talk to us about how this could work for you.
