The Team

The Finance & Business Support team partners with leaders across the Royal Hobart Hospital and Integrated Services Group to provide strategic business support, financial stewardship, workforce and establishment planning, governance, reporting and business improvement services. Working closely with executives, directors and managers, the team delivers trusted advice, analysis and coordination to support informed decision-making, organisational performance and the delivery of high-quality services.

The Role

  • Provide leadership and supervision of administrative staff including performance management and program development that will ensure duties are completed accurately and efficiently within agreed timeframes and resources.
  • Provide high level advice and support to the Manager Business Support on establishment management, recruitment, orientation, contract management, and leave analysis; including identifying operational related issues and providing options, solutions, and recommendations to achieve service delivery objectives.
  • Develop and maintain effective networks and relationships with staff, management, and other key internal and external stakeholders including provide information, support, and advice to relevant stakeholders.

You will need

  • Experience in supervising and motivating staff and a team, including identifying training and professional development needs.
  • Sound knowledge, or the ability to quickly acquire that knowledge, of the THS Business Support operational environment, including the organisational framework under which it operates.
  • Sound knowledge, or the ability to quickly acquire that knowledge, of the Tasmanian Government human resources, purchasing, and business management frameworks and associated legislation, with the capacity to provide support, advice and make recommendations to senior management as required.

Details of appointment

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary

$102,027 to $106,985 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025.
