The Team
The Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) is a dynamic and innovative service delivering specialist care for adults with an eating disorder. This includes Community-Based Intensive Treatment Programs (CBIT) in the North, North-West and South.
The Role
As part of the CBIT South team, the Administrative Assistant TEDS South contributes to the delivery of high-quality Mental Health Services by providing high-quality reception and administrative services.
The Administrative Assistant – TEDS will:
- Provide day to day administrative support to TEDS.
- Contributes towards optimal administrative and business support processes at the local level.
- Provide the first contact facility for clients and relatives, relaying information and calls immediately to the appropriate professionals.
- Provide clerical support to Service site staff involving organizing appointments, daily lists and retrieval of client files and other duties as required.
- Maintain statistical collection for the TEDS.
- Provide a specialized clerical facility for the TEDS, interview clients/relatives for registration details and update the computerized record.
- Liaise with other Mental Health Services personnel as well as external agencies and stakeholders.
- Typing of administrative and clinical correspondence and reports, including preparation of agendas and Minutes.

You will need
- Ability to exercise initiative, judgement, and confidentiality to work in a senior management and clinical environment under pressured circumstances.
- Ability to undertake administrative duties, including the efficient operation of keyboard and word processing equipment, office automation systems and facsimile machine and possess a high standard of secretarial skills, together with knowledge and experience of sound office management practices.
- Ability to work either individually or as a member of a team.

Details of appointment
Permanent part time, day worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
$68,854 to $73,947 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025
