The Team
The Department of Health’s (DoH) Infrastructure - Asset Management Unit, is responsible for the statewide lifecycle management of the complex and critical built infrastructure and medical equipment that supports the delivery of health services in Tasmania.
The team plays a key role in ensuring that built infrastructure and medical equipment assets are managed to support the delivery of health services to the community.
The Role
Join the Infrastructure team as a Manager - Asset Management, leading the strategic management of critical health infrastructure and medical equipment across Tasmania. In this senior leadership role, you will drive asset management initiatives, oversee lifecycle planning, lead statewide improvement projects, manage asset-related risks and contracts, and provide expert advice to support the delivery of safe, sustainable and effective health services.
You will need
- Demonstrated high-level expertise and experience in contemporary asset management
- Demonstrated capacity to lead the implementation of asset management strategies and initiatives in a complex and interdisciplinary professional work environment.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with influence and negotiate persuasively.
- Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of relevant legislation and Australian Standards to achieve business objectives.
- Proven leadership and management skills to drive team performance and manage resources.

Details of appointment
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
$144,169 to $153,844 per annum + our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025

Eligibility
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related discipline and/or demonstrated experience in asset management and working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and legislation
