This is a national recruitment campaign streamlined to fill permanent vacancies across Tasmania commencing Term 1, 2026. Schools commence on Monday 2 February and colleges on Tuesday 27 January 2026. 

To be considered for the process, you must be able to demonstrate teaching skills, knowledge and experience within the Australian Curriculum and be a qualified Teacher or completing your Education degree in 2025. 

You must also hold current provisional, full or specialist VET registration granted by the Teacher Registration Board of Tasmania by February 2026 alongside a current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employee/Volunteer). 

As an applicant, you must:

  • Complete the online application form including selections of region and municipality preference.
  • Submit a two-page response to the four selection criteria written in the Teacher statement of duties, that details your teaching skills, knowledge and experience. 

  • Upload a current CV/Resume including information on your relevant study/qualifications and employment history. 

  • Provide contact details for two teaching related referees who are able to provide confirmation of skills and experience relating to your suitability for the role of a Teacher.
