Job description:

The Wellbeing Consultant will provide specialist support to school leaders in coordinating staff wellbeing resources, with a particular focus on complex sites. This includes providing guidance to plan staff wellbeing approaches, and to connect both internal and external services into the school, especially in time-critical situations. The Wellbeing Consultant assists in the collection of staff wellbeing data, such as wellbeing check-ins and screenings, to determine individual needs. They also support school leaders in identifying and addressing staff needs in both the short and long term, while offering guidance on preventative staff wellbeing strategies. Through these efforts, the Wellbeing Consultant aims to enhance the overall wellbeing of school staff, ensuring a healthier and more supportive work environment.

Through these efforts, the Wellbeing Consultant aims to enhance the overall wellbeing of school staff, ensuring a healthier and more supportive work environment.

Period of Appointment

Ongoing - Start date of 20 May 2025

Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.

Hours per fortnight

73.5 hours per fortnight

Essential Requirements

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)

Desirable Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in a discipline relevant to mental health, health promotion or other social sciences.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
