About the Role
The Principal Systems Officer provides strategic advice, leadership and support across the Information Strategy and Systems (ISS) development team, to support better outcomes for Services for Children and Families and Services for Youth Justice through the enhancement of information business systems and implementation of new business systems that support quality of care and safety of Services for Children and Families and Services for Youth Justice clients.
Period of Appointment
ASAP for 24 months
Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.
Hours per fortnight
66.15 hours per fortnight
Essential Requirements
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
- The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
1 Conviction checks in the following areas:
a) crimes of violence
b) sex related offences
c) serious drug offences
d) crimes involving dishonesty
e) serious traffic offences
2 Identification check
3 Disciplinary actions in previous employment check
