Job description:

Support school-aged learners in Tasmania by providing quality advice, service delivery, and guidance relating to the apprenticeship system. This includes helping students find meaningful educational and career pathways through apprenticeships, while working closely with schools, apprenticeship providers, parents, registered training organisations, and other stakeholders.

This is a Department built entirely for children and young people and their communities.  Our ultimate goal is to work together to ensure that every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well and learning.

If so, we want to hear from you! In this role, you'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with apprenticeship providers, schools, parents, young people, employers, government agencies and registered training organisations. 

Duties

Support school-aged learners in Tasmania by providing quality advice, service delivery, and guidance relating to the apprenticeship system. This includes helping students find meaningful educational and career pathways through apprenticeships, while working closely with schools, apprenticeship providers, parents, registered training organisations, and other stakeholders.

Period of Appointment

Ongoing - ASAP Start Date

Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.

Hours per fortnight

73.5 hours per fortnight

Essential Requirements

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)

Desirable Requirements

  • Graduate Certificate in Career Development
