Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Assess, enquire into and investigate complaints under the Energy Ombudsman Act 1998 and other legislation as may be required.
- Negotiate appropriate solutions and strategies to resolve complaints and where necessary formulate recommendations for improved procedures and practices, including ways to address systemic issues.
- Undertake research, reporting, assist with policy development and provide advice on matters relating to energy issues.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with energy entities, interested parties and relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in enhancing the public profile of the Energy Ombudsman by planning, developing and facilitating outreach and engagement programs.
- Review and update website content including drafting factsheets, case summaries and relevant communication materials.
- Produce and present material regarding energy issues relevant to the community, public sector organisations and energy entities.
- Any reasonable duties as directed by management.
Desirable requirements
- Experience in community engagement and outreach.
- Experience working in complaints management, compliance or regulation.
- Qualifications in communications, law, education, public administration, investigations, dispute resolution or other related discipline.
- Current driver’s licence.
