Job description:

Provide support to the Director MPES in the collection and enforcement of monetary penalties. Take a lead role in the effective delivery of services by coordinating collection and enforcement activities, supervision and training of team members, management of resources and customer and community liaison.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available. 

Duties

  • In consultation with the Director develop, implement and deliver appropriate plans and strategies for the recovery of outstanding monetary penalties.
  • Provide training, supervision and front-line management to team members.
  • Undertake complex analysis and enforcement activities including the preparation of correspondence, reports and other documentation as required.
  • Coordinate the delivery of advocacy services to disadvantaged clients and relevant stakeholders, including assisting the Director in attending to community-based forums and discussions.
  • Coordinate, supervise and attend customers state-wide.
  • As directed provide assistance to all areas of the Monetary Penalties Enforcement Service.

Desirable Requirements

  • Current driver’s licence.

  1. Pre-employment (National Police Record) checks for: Arson and fire setting, violent crimes and crimes against the person, sex-related offences, drug and alcohol related offences, crimes involving dishonesty, deception and/or conspiracy, making false declarations, malicious damage and destruction to property, serious traffic offences, crimes against public order or relating to the Administration of Law and Justice, Executive or the Legislative Power.
  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment.
  3. Identification check.
