Job description:
Provide strategic advice and lead the frontline delivery of Tasmania’s fisheries and aquaculture licensing and authorisation services.

About the role
As the Team Leader, Licensing and Authorisation Coordination you will be key in the delivery of efficient, accurate and customer-focused licensing and authorisation services across the marine resources sector.
You’ll provide strategic advice to the Business Manager and oversee the smooth operation of licensing systems, and lead a capable team responsible for processing, monitoring and supporting licensing and authorisation activities. Key functions of this role are:
- Lead the delivery of fisheries and aquaculture licensing and authorisation services.
- Provide strategic advice and support operational policy.
- Guide the Licensing and Authorisation team and support staff capability.
- Exercise Registrar powers and support administration of fisheries legislation.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Period of appointment
24 months.
Desirable requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in business administration or a resource management discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
- A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
- AIIMS or other response training.
