Job description:
Ensure the efficient operation of the Human Resources (HR) team by providing high-quality HR advisory and administrative support services to clients on a range of matters, with a strong focus on customer service.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Provide a high level of customer service and build strong working relationships with internal clients.
- Undertake accurate and timely processing of transactions in support of various HR functions, such as recruitment, payroll, and workers compensation.
- Accurately interpret, apply and provide advice relating to the Tasmanian State Service employment framework and associated Departmental policy.
- Prepare and distribute written communications, letters, contracts, reports, and other documentation.
- Maintain HR records and data while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with project, system, and business improvement initiatives as required.
Pre-employment Checks
The Head of State Service has determined that the person nominated for this vacancy is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.
The following checks are to be conducted:
- Pre-employment (National Police Record) checks for: Arson and fire setting, violent crimes and crimes against the person, sex-related offences, drug and alcohol related offences, crimes involving dishonesty, deception and/or conspiracy, making false declarations, malicious damage and destruction to property, serious traffic offences, crimes against public order or relating to the Administration of Law and Justice, Executive or the Legislative Power.
- Disciplinary action in previous employment.
- Identification check.
