Hours per fortnight

Duties
- Initiate and undertake complex analysis and investigative activities to develop, document and present recommendations to comply with the Dangerous Criminal and High Risk Offenders Act 2021.
- Coordinate the day-to-day management of the Dangerous Criminals and High Risk Offenders portfolio, ensuring that policy, process and project requirements are delivered on time and deadlines are met.
- Analyse, interpret and provide direction on the requirements of the Dangerous Criminals and High Risk Offenders Act 2021.
- Commission and facilitate the completion of risk assessments of offenders by suitably qualified professionals and against criteria of the Dangerous Criminals and High Risk Offenders scheme, as ordered by the Risk Assessment Committee.
- Identify and provide advice to persons involved in the administration of the Dangerous Criminals and High Risk Offenders Act, including the Risk Assessment Committee, about offenders eligible for high risk offender orders.
- Investigate, gather and analyse information critical to the accurate and comprehensive assessment of an offender’s risk by the Risk Assessment Committee.
- Facilitate inter-agency information sharing, cooperation and management of dangerous criminals and offenders subject to, or being considered for, high risk offender orders.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships and strong communication links with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and/or assist in the timely preparation of reports ordered pursuant to the Dangerous Criminals and High Risk Offenders Act, including court reports.
- Maintain oversight of critical dates relevant to the management of offenders subject to the Dangerous Criminal and High Risk Offenders Act
- Ensure compliance with legislative timeframes prescribed by the Dangerous Criminals and High Risk Offenders Act.
- Lead the ongoing development of relevant frameworks and processes for the administration of the dangerous criminals and high risk offenders scheme in consultation with key stakeholders and government outputs.
- The occupant of the position can expect to be allocated duties not specifically mentioned in this document that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.
Desirable Requirements
Relevant Tertiary qualifications and/or significant industry experience.

- Pre-employment (National Police Record) checks for: Arson and fire setting, violent crimes and crimes against the person, sex-related offences, drug and alcohol related offences, crimes involving dishonesty, deception and/or conspiracy, making false declarations, malicious damage and destruction to property, serious traffic offences, crimes against public order or relating to the Administration of Law and Justice, Executive or the Legislative Power.
