Job description:

Play an integral role at the Tamar Island Wetlands ensuring the public can enjoy and learn about the cultural and natural values of the site.

About the role

The Business Enterprise and Volunteer Coordinator at the Tamar Island Wetlands Centre will ensure a high-quality visitor experience by:

  • Managing and supervising over 20 active volunteers.
  • Coordinating, developing, and maintaining the business activities of the centre.
  • Facilitating opportunities for increased levels of community participation.
  • Providing advice to visitors on the reserve and tourism opportunities in the region.

Weekend work is required, and the days of work will be Wednesday to Sunday each week.

This is a permanent position.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Desirable requirements

  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
  • Qualifications or experience in business management would be an advantage.
