Job description:

Treasury is looking for a Specialist Legal Advisor to provide legal research, statutory interpretation and legal advisory expertise in relation to the Department’s governance, risk and compliance activities including under legislation such as the Right to Information Act 2009.

About the Branch

The Project Management and Governance branch supports the Department’s strategic objectives by building and improving governance structures and capability. The branch coordinates and delivers Treasury’s internal audit, risk management, delegations, conflict of interest and project management. The branch supports business continuity planning and arrangements and the corporate planning process and provides legal advisory services to support the Department’s governance activities.

Hours per fortnight

Up to 73.5 - hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part time hours.

Period of Appointment

This is a fixed term appointment for a period of 18 months.

Desirable Requirements

A relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
