Job description:

Provides a critical role in TMAG’s Work Health and Safety (WHS) and facilities risk management with a focus on continuous business improvement and the optimisation of TMAG’s assets by: • facilitating and supervising general maintenance of building and equipment; and • ensuring the effective implementation of facility procedures and protocols; • liaising with external contractors to ensure the operational, building and equipment maintenance needs of TMAG are met and • monitoring day-to-day effectiveness of safety, security and asset management procedures, protocols and systems.

Duties

  • Actively engage in providing suggestions to assist with the development, delivery and documentation of routine maintenance schedules and tasks.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks under the instruction and supervision of the Manager Property and Facilities.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of contractor inductions.
  • Liaise and work with contractors to ensure that routine and ad hoc maintenance requirements are completed to the highest possible standard an in line with TMAG’s requirements.
  • Be on on-call when rostered.
  • Proactively engage with all WHS requirements to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  • Maintain appropriate records in line with policy and process.
  • Arrange and coordinate site access for staff and contractors.
  • Actively engage with the TMAG facilities helpdesk to assist with the completion and management of tasks, receiving and assigning work orders, completing documentation and closing out tickets in line with TMAG processes and practices.
  • Provide support for a variety of facilities-based systems, including but not limited to security, fleet, emergency response programs.
  • Maintain all registers and documentation as required for the safe and efficient operation of the TMAG sites.
  • Actively participate in the WHS framework of TMAG and the Department.

Essential Requirements

Evidence of the following must be provided prior to appointment to this role:

  • A Current Driver’s Licence

The person must continue to satisfy the above essential requirements/qualifications throughout their employment in this role.

Desirable Requirements

  • Forklift licence.
  • Working at heights certification.

TMAG will provide the relevant training required to fulfil the duties of this role if the occupant does not hold the above desirable requirements.
