Job description:

Objective The Project Manager is responsible for: • planning and managing projects for the WorkCover Board Tasmania, from initiation to closure in accordance with the Department’s project management methodology; • the successful delivery of project outputs and outcomes; and • providing technical advice to the Assistant Director, Program Management and to other stakeholders on projects under their management.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.

Duties

  • Review and confirm project deliverables to ensure that the requirements of projects are being delivered in a timely and user friendly manner.
  • Development and maintenance of project related documentation and reports including project briefs, management plans, risk registers and closure reports.
  • Develop communication and consultation strategies to ensure sound knowledge of projects by all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effectively co-ordinate and undertake high level project management over all components of project business plans in order to achieve objectives in a structured and formalised manner.
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders in the development and management of project outputs.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to staff associated with and affected by each project.

Desirable Requirements

  • A degree or tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
