Job description:

Contribute to the operation of the Tribunal by providing high level administrative support to the Principal Registrar and handling basic telephone enquiries about matters falling within the Tribunal’s jurisdiction.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available. 

Duties

  • Act as the first point of contact for the Tribunal on telephone calls and in person, along with providing advice in accordance with relevant legislation and procedural guidelines as necessary.
  • Liaise with varying stakeholders to ensure information is provided and received in compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Provide high level secretarial/executive, clerical, keyboard, administrative, data processing and other support to the President, Principal Registrar, and other Streams of the Tribunal as directed by the Principal Registrar.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation including tribunal decisions, draft minutes, briefings, ministerial and other correspondence and related matters through providing keyboard and other support of a highly confidential nature.
  • Organise and schedule appointments, meetings, conferences, functions and related activities as well as make travel arrangements for staff.
  • Clerking of hearings of the Tribunal providing support through maintenance of AV and recording facilities; acting as interface between parties and the Tribunal and general duties related to supporting hearing operations of the Tribunal.
  • Assist with the management of information for the Tribunal, in particular, overseeing and maintaining the physical filing, information management and case management systems of the Tribunal.
  • The successful applicant can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying jobs at this classification level.
