The position supports the expansion of the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP-E) Scheme, through development and implementation of communication strategies and coordination of stakeholder engagement and consultation.
The successful applicant will:
- use highly developed communication skills and experience to communicate safeguarding legislation and regulatory changes to other agencies, businesses, organisations, and the community in a user-focussed, meaningful way.
- Use creative expertise to develop tools and resources to raise awareness, promote understanding, and support change.
- work closely with the Program Manager and Change Lead to provide complex information in simple formats for diverse audiences.
Period of Appointment
12 months.
Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Develop clear and consistent communication tools, awareness raising and education resources, and sector preparedness materials, including assisting with developing and implementing campaigns.
- Develop, implement, monitor and review action plans, including the provision of strategic advice and identification of issues and risks.
- Identify, engage, build relationships, liaise, and consult with internal and external stakeholders including Departmental and Ministerial staff, and the non-government and private sectors, on the expansion of the RWVP Scheme.
- Engage and work collaboratively with the project team to plan, manage and deliver a complex change program, including mapping timelines and identifying project deliverables and dependencies.
- In conjunction with the Change Lead coordinate and co-facilitate stakeholder consultation via a variety communication channels, ensuring proactive and effective communications to multiple and diverse stakeholders.
- Analysis and reporting on consultation data and integrate consultation outcomes into policy development & project activities.
Essential Requirements
- A Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Registration.

Desirable Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in areas such as journalism, communications and/or marketing, public relations, community engagement, social work, health and/or policy, participatory project management.
- Familiarity with contemporary content creation tools.
