Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Represent clients of the Tasmania Legal Aid, under supervision, including providing legal advice and having the carriage of Family Law matters and Child Safety matters.
- Act as solicitor and counsel in the Family Law Courts (Family and Federal Circuit Court) and the Magistrates Court.
- Participate in mediation and/or conferences including Family Dispute Resolution Conferences on behalf of Tasmania Legal Aid clients in relation to Family Law matters and Child Safety matters.
- Perform such other professional work in the Family Law jurisdiction, Child Safety jurisdiction and the Safe at Home practice, as may be directed from time to time.
Essential Requirements
- Admitted or eligible for admission as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania and the relevant Federal courts.
Desirable Requirements
- Current Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence.
