Job description:
Undertake functions associated with the delivery of visitor focussed public programs, including holiday programs; weekend family programs; and after-hours public events.

Period of Appointment
Casual - 12 months
Duties
- Deliver public programs in accordance with the priorities, goals and objectives of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG), including but not limited to holiday programs; weekend family programs; and after-hours public events.
- Assist in the planning of public programs including co-operating with internal and external stakeholders, as well as programming partners including TMAG volunteers.
- Perform a range of physical and/or technical (audio/ visual) tasks, as part of setting up and packing down programs and events.
- Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of program and event delivery.
- Report issues of concern such as hazards and risks and where applicable rectify.

The Department of State Growth has determined that this role is identified as undertaking child related regulated activities in-line with the definitions of the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013, and as such any occupant of this role will require a current Working with Vulnerable People registration. As this registration is an essential requirement of this role it must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in the role. The status of the registration may be checked at any time during employment. The person must continue to satisfy the above essential requirements throughout their employment in this role.
Desirable Requirements
- An appropriate tertiary degree or diploma from a recognised Australian institution
- Current Workplace Level 1 First Aid certificate or the ability to obtain one.
