Job description:

Lead the development and implementation of contemporary communications initiatives and activities and to provide stakeholder engagement advice and support for implementation of the Rural Water Use Strategy and other strategic projects across the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Business Unit. This role will enhance access to and develop clear, current and accurate information on water management in Tasmania through development of communications material and fostering key stakeholder relationships.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Duties

Lead the development and implementation of contemporary communications initiatives and activities and to provide stakeholder engagement advice and support for implementation of the Rural Water Use Strategy and other strategic projects across the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Business Unit. This role will enhance access to and develop clear, current and accurate information on water management in Tasmania through development of communications material and fostering key stakeholder relationships.

Desirable Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications or journalism or science/natural resource management communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Minimum of five (5) years professional experience in a communications and engagement (or similar) role.
  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
