Job description:

Support the Aquaculture Branch in the management, sustainable development, regulation and control of the aquaculture industry in Tasmania in accordance with the Marine Farming Planning Act 1995 and the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 by supporting the projects, programs and strategies conducted by the Branch.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Duties

Support the Aquaculture Branch in the management, sustainable development, regulation and control of the aquaculture industry in Tasmania in accordance with the Marine Farming Planning Act 1995 and the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 by supporting the projects, programs and strategies conducted by the Branch.

Desirable Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management or equivalent qualification, relevant to the duties to be undertaken, as provided by a university.
  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
  • Hold (or ability to obtain) a (Near coastal) coxswain certificate.
  • Workplace Level 2 First Aid Certificate or equivalent.
