
The Team:
The Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) offers a specialised counselling and support to assist adults, children and young people, children who have experienced family violence. This service is part of the Safe at Home service system, with a strong focus on the safety and well-being of victim survivors of family violence.
The Role:
- Act as the first point of contact for the Family Violence Service through telephone and face to face contact with clients and the general public.
- Provide administrative support for the multidisciplinary team through efficient and effective office management, reception duties and administrative tasks.
- Respond to enquiries from clients, the public and other service providers by telephone, email, fax and in person.
- Exercise initiative, judgment, sensitivity and discretion in undertaking all tasks.
You will need:
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and liaise with a wide range of people in a sensitive and confidential manner, in both the Government and non-Government sectors.
- Knowledge of and experience in sound office management practices along with a high standard of administrative and clerical skills, together with highly developed computer skills including competency in the use of diary management tools, word processing tools, spreadsheets, database packages and computerised financial management information systems.
- Knowledge of and experience in human resource management systems and processes, or the ability to acquire such knowledge.
Details of appointment:
Fixed term, part time working up to 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of six months.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
