Job description:

This role provides assistance with food preparation, production, plating service, ware-washing, and cleaning duties in the provision of catering services to patients, visitors, and staff of the hospital.

The Team:

The team is located at the Cambridge Production Centre. Work as a member of a dynamic team at the production centre working in ware wash, tray line, production and stores. 

The Role:

As part of the production team, you will:

  • Assist with the safe production of food items for the patients at the RHH and various THS sites.
  • Perform receipt and storage duties associated with food supplies in line with food safety guidelines.
  • Perform general food preparation and cleaning related duties.

You will need:

In accordance with Agency policies, procedures, and guidelines, assist with food preparation, production, plating service, ware-washing, and cleaning duties in the provision of catering services to patients, visitors, and staff of the hospital.

  • Assist in maintaining a high standard of food preparation, production, service, meal distribution, ware-washing, and cleaning of the hospital service areas and in accordance with the relevant codes of practice.
  • Check patient identification is correct prior to delivering/distributing meals and observe all dietary restrictions allocated to patients.
  • Perform receipt and storage duties associated with food supplies in line with food safety guidelines.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible until 24 September 2027.

*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $57,130 to $62,486 per annum (pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Plus 25% Casual Loading - Equivalent of $36.00 to $39.37 per hour

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
