Job description:

Permanent Roles - We are seeking a suitably qualified Associate Nurse Unit Managers (ANUM's) to join the Eastern Shore Community Nursing team.

The Team:

Eastern Shore Community Nursing, Hobart, is a supportive and progressive team, providing excellence in nursing care to clients in their own homes, community health centres and community settings across Hobarts Eastern Shore.   

The Role:

Eastern Shore Community Nursing is seeking a dynamic team of Associate Nurse Unit Managers (ANUMs) to join our highly skilled and collaborative nursing team.  
  • Conveniently based at Clarence Integrated Care Centre, working day shifts (0800-1630) across a 7 day a week roster.

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will:
  • Provide clinical leadership and act as a role model for best practice care.
  • Assist the Nurse Unit Manager in planning and managing resources, ensuring efficient and effective rostering, scheduling of staff and clients, referral and capacity management. 
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and innovation.
  • Support a positive team culture and mentor staff to achieve excellence.

You will need:

  • Demonstrated clinical experience in community nursing, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative and work with minimal supervision. 
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the business of the unit/service in delivering the best outcomes within available resources, including a demonstrated understanding of patient flow principles, referral and discharge planning in the pursuit of patient/client goals within a contemporary healthcare framework.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation and development of services provided by the unit/service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures and protocols.

Details of appointment:

Multiple, Permanent, full time and part time, shift worker (fully rotational) positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
